Introduction

Economics major is well-positioned in an ever-changing world. Students of economics major are introduced to basic structure, theories, processes and policy of the field of study, to help them learn how to make sound financial decisions and manage their personal finances, or better implement monetary policy to benefit everyone in society. Students also will be able to understand complex and important issues, such as nature resources, tax rates, inflation, labour, etc., and to build a sound investment portfolio. Graduates of the program may apply to continue their education at the master level or embark upon careers at international financial centers.

B.S. Economics program introduces students to economics theories and applications, and a comprehensive understanding of market mechanism and newest economics studies. The Economics curriculum we offer follows best practices in the U.S. universities. Students are particularly provided with business analytics courses such as Python Programming and Data Mining in business, which complies with the economics research development in the era of big data. Students will develop skill to analyze practical business problems, and are given a good position for graduate school.
